A premium snack range, targeting the discerning Aldi customer.

Challenge

The premium snack market has grown rapidly in recent years, so when Aldi decided to create a selection of crisps to step into this sector, Agency Spring was tasked with producing the packaging. The design would need to communicate that the consumer was buying something special, while remaining consistent across all three flavours in the range.

Solution

A pinstripe effect was used to emphasise product quality, along with a gold seal highlighting the hand-cooked nature of the crisps and their homegrown ingredients. In addition to colour variants for the lightly salted, cheddar and onion, and salt and vinegar flavours, individual illustrations were used to add a playful and humorous element, backed by the ‘lovingly made, typically British’ tagline.
